At CardWise, your financial privacy is the foundation of everything we build. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have — with special care for data accessed through India's RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework.

01 Introduction

CardWise ("we", "us", "our") operates a credit-card management application that helps users in India track their cards, dues, and spending. This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile apps, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using CardWise, you agree to the practices described here. This document is an illustrative product template and does not constitute legal advice.

02 Information We Collect

  • Account information — your name, mobile number, email, and the authentication details you provide when you register.
  • Financial data — credit-card and transaction information fetched, with your explicit consent, through the RBI Account Aggregator (AA) network.
  • Usage data — device type, app version, in-app interactions, and diagnostic logs that help us keep the Service reliable and secure.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Display your unified card dashboard, balances, and upcoming due dates.
  • Send payment-due reminders and account notifications you opt into.
  • Generate spending analytics and category-level insights.
  • Detect fraud, debug issues, and improve the Service over time.

04 The Account Aggregator Framework & Your Consent

CardWise accesses your financial data only through an RBI-licensed Account Aggregator. Access is read-only, requires your explicit consent, and can be revoked by you at any time from within the app.

We never see or store your bank credentials. Each consent specifies exactly which accounts, what data, for how long, and for what purpose — and you remain in full control of that mandate.

05 Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting and notification delivery) under strict confidentiality obligations, or when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

06 Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or revoke AA consent, we delete or anonymise the associated financial data within a reasonable period, except where law requires longer retention.

07 Your Rights

  • Access & portability — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate account details.
  • Deletion — delete your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent — revoke AA mandates at any time.

08 Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for sign-in and security, and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

09 Children's Data

CardWise is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
